Art on Parade
By: David Britt – SYRACUSE – For the first time ever, the Parade of Homes has another feature. The Art on Parade gives visitors a chance to see local and international art at one central location.
Brani Andreeva, the founder of American Rupite, has worked to create Art on Parade along with the Central New York Home Builders Association and home owners to bring art to life.
The art “enhances the…parade homes,” according to Andreeva, while “educating visitors on how to personalize their homes.”
Artists at Home
Art on Parade is also important for the artists.
“It’s a great opportunity to connect with people who might not necessarily have a lot of connections in the local art scene,” said Kristina Starowitz, a local artist.
A Perfect Partnership
The art is shown throughout the many homes at the Parade of Homes. The art is not just limited to typical works of art.
“The nice thing that American Rupite offered to us, was not only art work as in wall art but also paintings on walls,” said Mary Thompson, Executive Director of the CNY Home Builders Association.
Art on Parade brings people and art together with the intent to enhance homes. Visitors have the chance to see the art for themselves as Art on Parade will be on display through September 22nd.
